This stunning raku plate was made using leaves collected from my garden grape vine. The leaves are impressed directly into the soft clay, then line, pattern and dots are added. After one trip into the electric kiln, glazes are applied by hand, and then it’s off to the Raku kiln for a second firing. That is where the magic of raku happens. The colors achieved on this piece make my heart sing!
All of my plates are wired securely to hang on the wall, but they are equally at home being displayed on a plate stand.
