Description
I take great care in hand dying all my yarns, ensuring they come from Canadian woollen mills & local farms.
This is Autumn Maples, named for the stunning colours of the maple trees in autumn in rural Ontario. The yarn is a gorgeously soft merino mixed with 25% nylon, giving it excellent strength for socks, yet keeping it sumptuously soft. Wonderful for anything ‘next to skin’s, like a soft flowing shawl. I’ve dyed this using blues, tan & brown. All my yarns are heat set, so there will be no bleeding of the colours if cared for properly.
This yarn weighs 115 grams / 4+ ounces. Length 384 meters / 420 yards. Fingerling, sock #1 weight. Recommended needle / hook size 2.25 – 3.25 mm.
