Description
These fun and funky earring are made with hammered brass and discs of Cherry Quartz. The earring hooks are formed form from silver plated (gold coloured) Artistic Wire. These will be an admired addition to a little black dress, summer linen, jeans and boots and all stops along the way!

A note about brass: I love working with brass and I love the way it looks when texture has been added by hammering. It is also a very economical metal which means I can experiment more and charge less (yay!). The downside of brass is that it does like to tarnish. I treat each piece of brass jewellery I make with mineral oil which helps slow the tarnishing process, however, it will still tarnish over time. But not to worry – there is an easy fix! Simple wipe your piece down with white vinegar and it will shine up again. A quick wash with soap and water will get rid of any vinegar smell…unless you like it. 🙂
