Description
This lucky and iconic Canadian artwork features a hand forged iron Maple Leaf inside an authentic steel horseshoe. The sculpture is easily displayed on a shelf or hung on your wall (using the holes in the shoe). Each sculpture is handcrafted from a real horseshoe which has been cleaned and re-forged at our rural Niagara studio. Once forged, the pieces are welded together to create the final artwork. The whole artwork is sealed with a clear varnish and then oiled, protecting against rust and adding a slight shine.
This artwork makes a wonderful gift and a lovely addition to any country home! Every sculpture will be slightly different depending on the individual details of the shoe and the way each unique piece is forged with the hammer and anvil. Like all of our artwork, each sculpture is individually handcrafted in Canada.
