Photographic Print – Capuchin Monkey

This young male White-face Capuchin monkey was defending his territory and became very aggressive when we got too close to the palm tree he was resting in. We were in a boat, a few feet from the riverbank and over head were palm fronds. The monkey walked out on a frond, his weight caused the frond to bend and suddenly we had a monkey with his two front feet on the deck of the boat. This fellow was jumping up and down and screeching at us. It only lasted a few seconds and was as much a surprise for us as well as the monkey. This was a moment where I was glad to have a camera and big lens between him and me.
